Maybe you should have a look at a tire that is well known and proven like the Sailun S637 or Goodyear G614. Both are 14 ply.

I tried to find a dealer in Tulsa who carried Sailun tires with no luck. Did find out they are a Chinese tire. I assume their are different quality of Chinese tires since almost every one calls the tires that come on these campers china bombs

Hercules are made in the United States but I have not used them before

I would stick with a mainstream brand. Did buy one Hercules tire maybe ten years ago, because of an emergency out in the middle of nowhere. Never heard of the brand, all they had in the size I needed. Have to say that tire was good.

Sailun tires are made in China but are of proven quality .Sailuns have been around several years now and i have yet to find any negative comments about them. You can order them at simple tire and they have i believe 10 percent off right now.

The whole issue of being made in China isn't what the problem is with tires. It's how tight the quality control is and how well they're made. Sailun does it right, but maybe they learned from Goodyear's Marathon disaster.

I've run Hercules tires on my truck for over 10 years. Several farmers in the area use them on their trucks ... that's how I got wind of them. Shamrock Tire here in Wichita sells them and has sold them for many many years. They are kind of a stiff ride, but wear a long time. I'm guessing their trailer tires would perform the same.

I have the Gladiator ST235/85 16 tires on my 2013 Montana RL3582, and have had good luck with them. I previously had Goodyear Marathons and had blowouts on 3 of them and the 4th one suffered a cut from a pothole. I have always had good luck with Goodyear tires and was shocked when I had these problems. I had two of the blowouts on the same trip and was stranded in the middle of nowhere in 113 F heat with my wife, daughter and dog. Needless to say, the wife was not a happy camper!

recommend that you look at the Goodyear G614, just saying.

Goodyear G614 at north of $285.00 or Sailun's for $150.00? Been watching the Sailun's on several forums for about 4 years and have not heard anything bad performance wise. At one time a bit hard to locate but that is over now. But I have heard of some problems with the G614's on this forum as well as others. Although that may be because there are lots more G614's out there. I will be replacing the Bridgestone's with the Sailun's next year when they time out.

I have already switched to the Gladiator tires and am very happy with them. The Gladiator tires also cost less than half of what the G614 does and I have had no problems with them. I was not previously aware that Goodyear had problems with the Marathon tires until after I had problems with mine, as I had never had problems with Goodyear tires and I have been using them on my cars since 1968.

I put on Advance G rated, been on a year or more, trips to the East Coast from Ontario and to Florida and back........no issues. They are a commercial tire I believe.
