Rams Head article,

I wonder if it will fit in the existing holes of the old logo.

Interesting post looks as though Mercedes Diesel ranks above the Cummins and the Cat. I would guess that the Rams head will mount the same was as the old Ram head. GBY...

Looks that way but are the mounting holes in the same location sometimes they change them so they just dont pop in.
as for the Mercedes Diesel that was interresting also.

Yeah, the article said that the Mercedes rated higher in all areas except for power. If the fuel was turned down to the same as the Mercedes, they both would rate higher in the other categories like fuel mileage for example IMHO.

They are also talking Heavy truck applications such as 18 wheelers, not pickup trucks.

Interesting article.
IMHO, this is part of what's wrong with American vehicles. More concern with fluff (like a new emblem) than actually improving the product. I can't see Honda or Toyota making a big deal, or even mentioning, changing an emblem.

Fiat which is now the driver for Chrysler, has decided, and in my view correctly, to split cars from trucks with the brand name change for all trucks, and suvs. Should the car side become a loser with trucks a winner they will already be split to dump or sell. Fiat, like some other foreign companies will leave with the cash and dump the losers and leave domestic companies not learning from Daimler strategy when they took all the cash.

I saw the new Ram's head too and fell in love with its new bold look. I wanted one so badly that I rushed over to my local dealer and bought one. The dealer thought I was nuts. Who would want to buy a Ram's head for giggles.
Having little desire to disappoint the sales guy or figure out how to deal with the issues of matching up holes or whether it would have the proper scale I bought one attached to a 2010 Laramie 3500.
I thought it wouldn't look right unless it was attached to dual wheels holding up a long bed and crew cab while attached to a 4x4 drive train. Hmmmm, hmmmmm, hmmmmm.
