Mine is hydraulic. It has a yellow tint to it.
Download the Lippert NOW app from Google play store. It has all the specifications.
It also has the TSB regarding adding anti-stiction fluid to prevent the jacks making popping noises.

Ours originally came with the yellow hydraulic fluid, flushed the system some years ago and changed over to the ATF fluid.

I've just changed the fluid the one time. Lippert used to say the fluid needed to be changed after so many years, and I did that about when it was suggested, but since then, they don't show that information anymore, so I'm guessing they don't think it's needed.

Amber hydraulic fluid is what they come out with and what they recommend.

Lippert recommends ATF specifically Dextron III or Mercon V. All I have ever used.

I talked to Lippert and mine uses transmission oil. I also added a quart of anti stitching oil and that solved my jacks from making noise. Hope that helps and yes hydraulic is yellow transmission oil is red.
