Louisville Metro KOA
OK.......for a KOA. Sites are real close together, asphalt pads, long enough for the Monty and the Dodge, parked behind at an angle. $2 / night for cable TV. Free Wi-Fi, good connectivity. Easy access to/from I-65, just barely still in Indiana. Exit is mile 1 inside Indy. Friendly staff, nice store/office. CW and a BIG RV dealership about 200 yds away.
When I was "trip planning", I noticed a railroad shown nearby. Nothing new...it seems to be a requirement of all Campgrounds to be next to a railroad...
When we arrived, I noted that the railroad is only about 50 yards away, and about 50 ft ABOVE the campground level. If a train rolled off the tracks, it would end up REAL close. The good news is that I haven't heard one loud train or a train whistle (diesel horn) all day. Not like the symphony we had in Goshen!!! LOL..
OK place for an "overnighter" or a couple of days..
