Too Hot
In Alabama we have been unusually hot for the last few weeks, 95 to 100 degrees , and the forecast is for more of the same for the next few weeks. Our 5er is stored in a shed and it is still super hot when I enter. Would there be any benefit from leaving the roof vent open in the trailer? I know this is just your opinion but would like to hear from several.

I think whatever the temp is in the shed is what the rig will be. The vent would perhaps keep the interior air from getting a 'stale' smell - or musty since you are in high humidty area.

I leave mine open when sitting in my driveway nearly all the time. Just letting it air out. no harm.

My unit is stored in my pole building. The slides stay out, windows and roof vent stay open 24/7 365

Hot hot hot
We have had 44 days of 100* or higher temps and a few more next week. I do not have a shed for the Monte. I have all 3 vents open and many days I go out and open the door and leave the screen door closed. With the high temps our humidity has been very low. There is no real science for why I do this - I do it just because.

I don't open mine at all. Mine sits outside and it gets hot here in Norcal also. Keeps the dirt and dust out of the rv. No reason to leave anything open in my opinion

I have a barn 48’X20’ open on both ends. Set up with 50 amp, water and dump.
My house is on solar so I can leave the AC on to 85F. Where I live AZ the inside temp can get to well over 120F that would have a negative impact on the cabinets and furniture.

Always leave vent open while in covered storage.

LOL... Ours is stored almost the exact same way you do. It's not under covered storage, just trees, and we set both our ACs to 88°F. My reasons include the same you have listed.

Ours is under a RV carport, and we leave AC set @ 85 on main unit, 90 degrees on the bedroom unit all summer when not in use

I seriously dought that leaving the a/c on at 85-90 degrees is going to make much difference other than removing $$ from you pocket.

Leave AC set 85 all summer when not occupied. No mold main reason.

I live in southern AZ, no cover or awning, whatever for my current RV either - I do exactly what MikenDebbie do - I open up my trailer - windows, vents, etc to keep it from getting so hot in there. You've seen what happens to vehicles when all windows are up and it's hot outside, in my experience my RV is the same way - it gets hotter than he!! in there.
I also take out anything that can be damaged by the high heat and store it in the house.
