The voltage on the panel indicates 12.4 volts most of the time when this happens. So today after unhitching, but before unplugging from my truck I put a volt meter on my batteries and it registered 13.4v. After disconnecting from my truck, it read 13.2v, howver the panel said 12.5v. I can always level with manual mode, but I want the auto level to work like it should.

A few weeks ago I found a loose connection or two and tightened those up. I figure it's either got to be a wire connection issue, controller or panel problem. I just purchased these Interstate 6v in May and I checked the water level and all is good.

Hopefully someone has had this issue and can help me or let me know if I'm on the right path.

Thanks!
What kind of battery's do you have. If the dealer installed them they are most likely a battery for starting an outboard motor or a trolling motor. If they are rated CCA they are not what you need for RV you need a battery rated in amp hours. Also if they are lead acid of any kind they are only good for 50% discharge before degrade the battery.
Plus the way The larger RVs are wired you're lucky if you'll get 2 amps to charge the battery.

Project 98% Complete

I want to thank everyone for their expertise in this issue. I got breakers and all installed, just waiting on my terminal bus bar to complete it. Test after install was a success, no errors. I had 4awg cables made at a battery dealer, nice cables, made to length. I screwed up on 2, so Monday is back for proper length. Here's a picture of what I have completed.

Again thanks for all your help!

I know all of the replies have been in regard to the 50A breaker and that is the recommended upgrade. That being said, in your original post you stated you could always level your rig manually but wanted auto to work properly. The timing out of the auto level tells me that the system can’t “find” level. Several things could be at issue. A sensor or reset system level or the nose of your rig is too low when starting auto level.

This could be what you're experiencing.
👍 I agree, this fixed our 3721☝️

I have reset the level in August and when the system didn't error it worked. Previously I had the nose too low and got a different error, but read that you needed to have higher than level to use auto level. Once I place the new breaker in, it all worked great, no errors. The real test is this week when we travel and see if it works when we get there.

Regards,

Rick

Final Update

Hi All,

Well I finally got the terminal bus and got it installed. This project seems to have fixed my issue with the levelers. Only have cycled it twice since, but no issues.

Here is a picture of the project completed. I took the advice that you all gave me and:

Installed 80amp Manual Breaker for Levelers
Installed 50amp Manual Breaker for Trailer Panel
Installed 30amp Manual Breaker for Accessories (Controllers, Panel, etc..)
Installed a Battery Bar (4 Position)
Installed a Terminal Buss

Mounted it on a 3/8 piece of plywood and installed in front compartment with Batteries.

You all made it so easy to get done - Thanks!

Rick
