Upgrading our Montana
Have spent the last 3 months upgrading many things is our 2980RL 2006 Montana. We replaced all of the flooring. Linoleum replaced with Vinyl Plank flooring. Recommend this. Replaced the carpet. Used a local vendor. I installed the vinyl flooring and had a carpet installer do the carpet. Removing the old flooring is a bigger job than the new installation. We installed new recliners and jackknife couch. My wife re-upholstered the dinning chairs. Installed new sink and faucet in the bathroom. Outside we replaced the fifth wheel pin box with a Reese Goosebox. We just took our first trip with it and i strongly recommend it. Also added Firestone Air bags to the truck along with Rock Tamer flaps. Recommend this also. We have some more upgrades to do, but no major ones at this point. We have a like new 5th wheel for about 20% of what a new one costs. Work was well worth it.
