If you want a really good experience stay at least one night on the island. It's quite different when the "Fudgies" have all left on the last ferry of the day

On a day trip to the Salton Sea (237’ below sea level) from our RV Parking site at Yuma, AZ, we crossed into CA and took CA-111 up the east side of the lake. Then we crossed over to CA-86 to transit down the west side back to I-8.
I’m pretty sure those that invested in property there made a very unwise decision. The sea water stinks-up the whole area. It’s worse than dead fish. Best description, it’s STINKY!

Slow Hand, we found the movie cars. Its actually holbrook arizona. If you go through the petrified forest, when you come out the back side into the little town itll blow your mind
