Alaskan Highway washed out

I have read on another forum that the Alaskan Highway has been closed in two places due to a washout.

The first washout is at the South end of Kluane Lake between Haines Junction and Destruction Bay.

The second washout is between Teslin and the junction of the Stewart-Cassiar HIghway.

The damage is extensive and a date to reopen the highway has not been announced.

If you are taking the "Top of the World" Highway that should bypass all of the closed areas.
