First, welcome to the forum! We've full timed for over 11 years (some of that hauling the rig off road to work for Fish and Wildlife) and over 150,000 miles and only dragged the rear bumper once and that was only lightly. If we're going into a steep entrance I go in at an angle, the only time we dragged I was distracted and forgot to do that. Some folks who have a driveway issue that can't be changed or approached in that manner have put rollers on the frame in the rear. It's not a Montana problem, however, all long 5th wheels will have that issue to some degree or other.
