IS/Disc Brakes on 2020 Montana
We are looking at Montana #4. Our current unit has 8k IS and disc brakes, which we love. Has anyone taken a 2020 Legacy Montana and had IS installed? I am getting some conflicting info from MorRyde on whether or not they can reuse the disc brakes from the Legacy model. It sounds like if they use Dexter, they cannot be reused on the 8k IS. If they are Titan or Grizzly they can. Interested in other people’s experience. Hoping to save the cost of the disc brakes.

there should be a tag on your current axle - contact that manufacturer and they might give you more info on brakes if they installed

We just had the 8k IS done . MORryde used OEM disc brakes with adapters on the 8k hubs. MORryde reported to us that ours were not Dexter brakes and at one point actual said they were Kodiaks... not able to confirm this at this writing though. I'm out of state currently. Glad we did not need to spend the extra for the brakes. Stops sure and straight ...no drama.

Thanks, it sounds like they are using whatever is in stock. I would like the 8k again, so it may have to wait until after it’s built to see what they use.
