Timbren
I want to install Timbrens on the rear of my Dodge. How difficult is it to do or should I pay for someone to do it? Thx

It is a very easy install. I have had Timbrens and air bags too. Prefer the bags.

Very easy to do. Most important part of the installation is that once they are in place they should not make contact with the axle until you put a load into the bed. Other wise you may get a rough ride when no weight in the bed of the truck.

Just put them on my2017 chevy 2500 and it made a world of difference. Never had airbags so can't compare. Chevy is a no bolt system took 30 minutes.

Can't speak on a Dodge but for my Ford, I spent more time preparing to install my Timbrens than I did the actual installation. Easy Peasy!!

Super easy to install and just as easy to uninstall. I had them on a 2012 Chevy 2500 and I really disliked them. I used them for one 1800 mile trip and couldn't get them off fast enough. I then installed airbags and they were much much better. The Timbrens were very harsh when towing. Kinda like riding on the bump stops. The airbags were not. The airbags take a little more attention but they are well worth it IMHO.

Had air bags for years on three different trucks, love them and they are adjustable.

We have the Timbrens and I don't notice any difference in the ride, either towing or not. They prevent the little "squat" we had prior to the install.

X2, that's my opinion about the Timbrens. Zero difference in ride quality. Timbrens leveled my truck and it doesn't sit to deep into the overload spring when towing. Ya know, some like em' some don't.

I had AirLift bags on my previous truck, a 2006 F250 4x4, crew cab, short bed. They did what I needed them to do. They leveled the ride and smoothed the ride. My current truck, a 2016 F350 dually, 4x4, crew cab, long bed, has a High Capacity Tow Package, a Snow Plow Package and a Camper Package. What all that means is very stiff suspension designed for carrying a load. This also means a rough ride unloaded no matter what I do. I chose Timbrems for the squat only as I can do nothing about the ride. Cheaper to purchase, easier to install, no air lines or compressor and no figuring out what psi to set. Surprisingly, when loaded, the ride smooths out. With a heavy load on the suspension, those components actually work and the Timbrens control the squat.

Hopefully, if the weather permits, I'm going in for a quote on the Timbrens.

look online, places like Real Truck or Auto Anything have the best prices usually, free shipping too.
I got my last set from JC Whitney, I had a coupon, think I paid like 180 shipped to my house.
About 30 mins to install. I have them in the front for my snow plow, I have Air Lift bags in the rear for towing the Monty..

Stopped at the truck/trailer shop that does routine maintenance on Monty. I'm going with roadmaster. Easy install, for them, and no problem with affecting the ride with our without a load.
