Dining Light Switch
We bought a 2011 Montana Mountaineer 295RKD. We have looked everywhere for the switch for the dining are light. Anyone know where we might find it?

You might want to check on the light itself . I have a 2016 3720 and there was no switch on wall or panel it was only on the light fixture.

My 2007 had very small push button switches on the side of the round bases of the fixtures.

Thanks. We have gone over the light fixture itself with a fine tooth comb and there is nothing there.

Post a photo of the fixture and you might trigger an answer

Mine looked like that but had a small push button in the back side. Something like this.

Unfortunately, ours doesn't have one. This has been driving us crazy.

No switch on the fixture, then there must be a wall switch somewhere. Did you check the bulb? Could be a bad bulb that is not coming on when you try a switch somewhere. All the ceiling lights in my 2007 were 12 vdc except the light like yours over our dining table. It was 120 vac for some reason. Voltage should be stamped on the side of the bulb.

Maybe the previous owner changed the light but installed the wrong kind? Might be worth taking the light fixture off the ceiling and checking if you have 12v power to it when the battery is on. If you have power, you can buy a 12 light with a switch like BB_TX posted from Amazon.

Actually, my husband said the power is always on. He had to unscrew the bulb to turn it off. We have tried every switch in the trailer that we can find. He thinks or only option may be to buy a light fixture with a pull cord.

Is the power 12 vdc or 120 vac?
You can buy small pushbutton, toggle, and pull cord switches at home improvement stores or hardware stores, drill a hole in the side of the fixture, and mount and wire the switch.

This sure sounds like a 120V light, not a 12V one. I have two of those type of lights in my dining/couch slide. Both have a press button On/Off switch on the back of the base rim.
I do not believe there is a wall switch for those lights. The power to the slide comes in from the back of the slide . I believe there is only one Romex that feeds the outlet on the exterior wall and the dining table overhead light. There is no channel in the "end" walls (the short ones perpendicular to the coach) to run Romex for a switch and I have never seen a switch on the exterior wall where the Romex runs to the plug.
Given a single Romex into the slide, a switch elsewhere in the RV (control panel, kitchen area, i.e. anywhere outside the slide) would disable the wall plug when turning off the light.
Given that Keystone.Montana uses the same parts in the RVs, I have to believe there is, or was before someone removed it, a switch on the back side of the rim.

2011 Mountaineer Lightswitch
I have a 2011 Mountaineer and my light is 120 volt. The switch is on the back of the fixture.
It appears someone has changed the fixture and removed the switch. Check the switch which controls your ceiling fan. See if they might have wired it in to that. Also, I have a small scone light next to the couch with a switch below it. Could they possibly have wired it to that?
Go luck

We have that exact camper with the same light fixture. Our's is a push button close to the ceiling on the base, closest to the wall side. it is a 120 volt lamp so you MUST be plugged into shore power for it to turn on. Good luck
