Little Stove Vent Door On The Outside

OK Gang we have had very very bad winds all day and blowing from just the right direction. You guessed it now my little door to the stove vent is broke. I have been everywhere to find one and camping world don't and campers choice don't. Does anyone know where to get one at?? Do you think that Keystone might have one????????? We have never been in winds like this and it is almost like being in a boat on the water, we have been rockin and rolling all day.LOL

prairiepoodle,
I had the same problem a short time ago. We were on a extended trip when one of the plastic "ears" broke off. At the top on each side are those plastic ears that hold the door in place. I could not find one either....on mine I glued a small nail in place with Gorilla Glue. The nail takes the place of the plastic piece that broke off. That was 2 months ago and it is still holding. Perhaps it will work for you. Good luck!

Yes I would think a dealer like BillyRay mentioned should be able to get one of these for you. Or Keystone..I think I would try them first..you wouldnt think that these would break so easily.

Check around with some mobile home or modular home dealers.
We had the exact same cover on our modular home.
If they don't have one they maybe able to point you in the right direction.

A friend of mine glued a rock on the door so that he would not have to go outside to open and close it. He said when the fan was turned on, it would blow the vent open, but when the fan was not on the door would stay closed. The rock was about the same color as his vent cover, so it did not really show. Said he never used the little clips, even while traveling. Maybe this would work on your vent and you would not have to buy a new one.

PrariePoodle.... here is a place that you can buy the outside stove vent/hood for $8.00. I think this is what you want?

3/31/05 Edit: I actually found a place that has it cheaper, but the shipping costs more than the part!:
