2021 Montana 3230ck

We just brought our rv home and we are trying to figure out how everything works. Re our other trailer had a switch on the control panel and one on the tank. This one has a switch only on the tank. How do I switch it to electric only?

Assume we’re talking the water heater? Our 2021 has the on/off switch on the water heater and two switches on the panel inside, one for electric and one for gas. Clearly marked. The one on the water heater itself stays on all the time unless I’m going to drain the tank for winterizing. Turn it off then so that if you accidentally hit the switch inside, it won’t fry your heating element from not having water in the tank.
I have seen posts here before from folks that had control panels with unmarked switches, in which case you might have to experiment. Make sure there’s water in the tank if you do.

Thanks. The control panel has a switch for gas and where it is marked for electric there is a plate covering where the switch should be. I'll ask the repair guy when I take it back for a few repairs . Awning bracket on slide-out broken and a water leak from the rear ac vent on the door side +++ .

Do you have a tankless hot water heater? They only run on propane AFAIK.
