2020 295rl
Hi all, we just purchased a used 2020 HC 295rl, we didn’t get much of a rundown on things. So I have a rather stupid question… where is the furnace located?

Rick,
First - welcome to the forum!
The furnace exhaust is typically on the driver side near the hot water heater. You should be able to see the heater by taking the access wall down on the back side of basement/pass through on the driver side (5 screws).

Maybe on your Montana but some of us have it on the door (passenger) side. It seems to depend on the floor plan layout. But the exhaust is a dead giveaway as to its location

More than likely, the furnace is located under the steps going to the upper level. Looking at YouTube videos of your model, the furnace air return is located on the bottom step (that wooden grate) over the face of the bottom step. This is the air return for the furnace.
To access the furnace, you'll need to remove the back wall of the front pass-through (basement). Several screws are holding that board on.

Hi there and welcome to the group. I have a 2020 294RL, so almost same unit. Your furnace is located on the driver side immediately aft of the water heater. Just look for the exhaust port it's easy to find. If you need access, the outside panel comes off giving you access to the furnace from the outside. If you take off the drivers side aft basement wall panel in your storage compartment, you can see the furnace and ducting in your basement, behind the water heater. Hope this helps.

Welcome aboard! I like the bedroom and front window in that floor plan.
Brooks gave you good info on the furnace location. Is there a reason you're asking? Is there a problem with it? This forum is a great place to learn and share so let us know if you need some help.
Glad you're here.
