shower regulator problems

Just wondering if anyone else has a problem with the regulation of hot and cold water mixture in the shower. My wife has one h--- of a time adjusting the mix to a comfortable warm shower. I must admit it is a process which takes time and patients to get the temp just right. Also the shower head continues to slide down the adjust bar so by the time the shower is over the shower head is below your knees! Washes your feet real well, however the rest upper part of your body still need additional rinse to get the soap off. We have a 2020 3121RL Montana, love it but the shades and the shower regulator are turn offs for sure!!

We don't have a problem with temperature regulation.
We did have a problem with the shower head not staying in place.
In the "before" picture the shower head would turn the tightening knob loose.
I took it apart and reassembled it on the other side of the bar.
Now it has a tightening motion.
Righty titey, lefty loosey.

We installed this valve on our shower. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Since we boondock a lot, we always do navy showers - wet down, water off, soap up, water on, water off. This valve does two things. First, it virtually eliminates the cold shock after turning water back on. Second, it’s easy to find with soap in your eyes.

As for the shades, we had a number of them fall off and learned the easy way to fix them. A long (6”) square drive bit with a cordless drill makes it a quick job. On ours, the screw that holds the bracket in the end comes out, then the whole unit drops. There are two or three screws between the shades and the valance and a screw on the bottom of each vertical valance and the whole unit comes off. Then it makes it easy to snap them in the brackets. A larger screw aids in holding the bracket in the aluminum extrusion.

Our shower head holder slid down from the very beginning. Fixed it with a small cable tie(zip tie) and that fixed it and we can still slide it down when the smaller grandkids use the shower. The cold shock is caused by the check valve on the water heater causing reduced flow from the hot side when the shower head valve is turned off and you get more cold than hot. We are used to it, but we could fix it by removing that check valve because we never winterize being full time.
The shades on our older RV work fine but many of the newer ones are junk. I’ve read that some have upgraded to MCD shades. mcdinnovations.com
