Full-time

Hi, just joined, recently retired, sold house, RVing full time in our 3761FL
2020 Montana. We love our camper, but goodness the issues we have had. Brakes on the camper not working, the leaf spring breaking, microwave/convection oven going out,
The rear a/c not cooling below 70, usb port not working......

Anyone else?

Too late for you, but my advise for anyone wanting to go full timing is to own the camper at least a year before you hit the road full time. Why? For the very reason you've just experienced, it takes a year to flush out all the problem.

Sitting in the show room brand new, these campers look gorgeous. But their true nature does not show up until they've been drug over the roads a few miles. Then things unearth themselves.

In the first year of our Montana ownership, I had over 80 different issues. Some warranty HAD to fix because they were just too big or too expensive for me to fix myself. The other items, I took care of myself. I'm glad I still have a driveway to park it, so I can fix it, have all my tools, and a house to retreat to when the trailer is torn apart from end to end fixing something.

What you experienced is pretty typical for a new RV. There are no excuses, and no justifications why the manufacturers don't work harder to ensure a good, solid, sound, time-tested, road-worthy product when it leaves the factory. BUT they don't. It's left to us to flush out the problems, hope warranty can fix it, and deal with frustrations.

I will say, after 1 year of constant repairs, fixes, and changes, I now have a darn good trailer. Nothing has gone wrong in way over a year now, and it's used every day.

Welcome to the forums! Hang in there though, it WILL eventually get better if you don't give up! But I sure do understand your frustration!

Welcome to the forum! We've had three Monty's and currently own two. Most people who have issues let us know and those who don't stay silent. We've had few problems with our units and few that didn't result from the 150,000K of bad roads we've drugged them down.

We began full timing in a Montana fiver that we purchased used. Very few issues with it for a couple years. We then traded off for a new Montana model. Several issues within the first couple of months but nothing really major.

We just returned to our site in Florida with our new SOB fiver we purchase new out in Texas. In the 3 days we have been back I have found a exit door latch out of adjustment, shower enclosure leaking, and a slide seal partially slid down. I fully expected these types of issues and will fix them myself. My goal is to not have anything too major go wrong. If possible I want to avoid taking it to a dealer for warranty repair.

Right or wrong, I set the bar fairly low when it comes to my expectations of the type of quality I'm getting when purchasing a new RV.

Seems like something is always requiring a fix, these rigs do take a beating on the road. We just fix as we go and enjoy the lifestyle.
