First, they are very heavy and you have to get up on the roof with it and struggle to get it on. Next the wind will propably cause it leave marks on the finish and possibly tear off one or more of the drains. Mainwhile, down at the local dealer and the northern Indiana storage lots all the new rigs are sitting out in the ice and snow and someone will be buying them when it warms up. We didn't cover ours until we went full time and it didn't seem to matter. Been in a number of snow and ice storms since we went full time and still no issues. That said some folks swear by covers.
