I'm certainly no engineer that's for sure.

I'm sure they all have weak spots. I know for sure the legs of my Curt hitch are bolted to the main body with for grade 8 1/2 inch bolts. Could them bolt snap in an extreme situation ? I have no idea

How to ruin a forum

This response is for you and beeje. Today is my first time on this forum and I asked a simple question that turned into a stupid argument between YOU and beeje and neither one of you answered my question. You two are acting like two old women. Why don’t you two just get a room together I’m sure you have useless information you can share with each other.

In the picture of the Anderson, the center section that hooks to the goose neck ball in the bed of the truck has detached from said ball. I would speculate (and it is only speculation) that the operator either did not insert the retaining pin, or did not properly tighten the top bolt.

Not exactly sure what you're talkin about. I was the first one to respond and and I answered whether you needed a slider hitch or not I also gave you my opinion on a hitch. The only thing I added to that was I felt your truck was woefully inadequate Towing such a large camper. I give you honest answers.

I do apologize for the thread veering off in a different direction but that happens quite a bit. Your questions are like asking whether Dodge Ford or Chevy is the better to vehicle. That is impossible to answer and you will get a gazillion different opinions on it
