Soft floor shaking island

Wondering if anyone has a problem with there floor being soft and having a slight sag in the middle. We have a 2018 3731FL bought it in may of 2018 when you walk around in the kitchen the island shakes a lot and when i put a 4 foot level across the floor in front of fridge going side to side on the camper there is a gap in the middle. Every time i try to get someone to look at it i keep getting told i need to take it in to a dealer. And every place i call is 6 months behind.

Never had the floor issue described in any of our units. Have had to reseat islands twice because of inadequate screws.

We've not had that issue on either of ours.

We have a 2018 3731 FL and have not experienced either problem. Please keep us informed.

That would be irritating! BTW, is that sheet vinyl or laminate on the floor?

My floor is lino. At some time when the winds die down here. I will drop the belly and if I have any broken welds.

We have something similar. Went back to the dealer they worked on it but didn’t fix it. Keystone called it good and “within factory specs”. Dealer said don’t be concerned because they had several on the lot like that.

My island shakes when you walk around it. They should have used stiffer floor elements around it that don't interfere with the slide hardware.

3731 floor sag?

I have a 2019 3731 and have also noticed the floor seems a little mushy around the island. But, based upon how much time & trouble I've had fixing real broken things, I am going to just live with it and assume its just a design nuisance and not any serious structural problem.

Right now, I can seldom get the bedroom AC thermostat "up" arrow to do anything. Down works perfect and the other thermostat in the kitchen works fine, except for having to be reset all the time to get high fan to come on in "Auto" mode.

Also working on a custom built desk or table to replace the one in there now, whose area is too cramped for even one person and slopes down toward the aforementioned mushy floor area. Another forum member suggested to face it out toward the big window, which is what I plan to do. Having the shade trim stick out 3 inches on each side, forcing the chairs 3 inches closer to to the table doesn't help.

Soft floors

Our 2011 High Country 313RE started doing this at about two years--just as warranty expired! Finally determined/was told that it is the foam insulation in the floor sandwich that is compacting and causing the sagging/soft floors. It can be fixed, but not inexpensively.

Our 2018 3731FL has the same movement when walking around the island... I think it's pretty typical. Don't know what time will yield????

Found out the only thing that holds the island to the floor is the fascia board around the bottom edges. We left one of the cabinet doors open on the island and when the slide came in, it pushed the island off it's foundation and crashed to the floor. When I replace the bottom anchor or foundation I made sure the island had a better base to sit on. Don't ever get on top of it to do anything as just your weight will cause the base to fail.

I wonder if Keystone is hearing any of this?? We have a 3811 and my wife noticed the set of the front couch was tilted--when I lifted it up could see the 2x2's that made up the "frame" under it were only held together by something that looks like a wire nail or something and it just fell apart. Very cheep made and a disappointment--I'll be able to fix it easily myself but you'd think they could use some real screw to put the thing together--also all the hinges holding to lid on completely came apart--they have it screwed into the paperboard wall.....Keystone better get their act together or they won't be "the number 1 5th wheel sold for the past 18 years " for much longer.....

Dining Table

[yup, we hate our dining table for the exact same reasons! We have the 3701lk and love all
Other design functions. Plus, those heavy chairs... we’re removing the side shade trim as it’s annoying and too much brown. I love the look that some folks have done with a print shade.will share pictures when we get there. * The space is rather large, the table layout should have been thought thru more..

Document your calls to dealer(s) and schedule an appt. no matter how far in the future. Take a video showing the island movement. Once you're out of warranty, without documentation of your attempts to get scheduled, KS will blow you off.

That situation does not seem right. I just went out to the kitchen in our 2018 3731FL and the DW was cooking up something and had a bowl of water on the island. I jumped up and down in front of the table and there was hardly a ripple in the bowl. Your island should be solid and the dealer should make that right. Also I have sat on and slid across the island when trying to get to the back with the slides in and never had an issue.

What I do have that annoys me is the theater seating on one side lists to the left and hurts my back. We are ditching it for a couple residential recliners.
