we camp a lot in the summer, spend last winter in AZ and took a trip to CA. I would say 150-180 days and 14,000 miles. Loved every second.

Our usage has settled down to about 5 to 6 times out during the summer, maybe 30 to 40 days worth plus 5 months in AZ. So maybe 180 to 200 days a year. Mileage about 5,000 miles per year. 3,200 plus miles round trip from the NW US to Phoenix and back each year. This coming summer may be more as we are going to the Shakespearian Festival in Southern Oregon plus a few other diversions on that trip. That will be a long summer trip for us. Currently have a little over 10,000 miles on the late 2006 3400RL.

We our in our fifth year in Monty. We average somewhere around 50 days a year. We do most every weekend, plus the rally and several other weeks. We usually start the first weekend in April and winterize in November. This year we hope to start in March. Of course, it may still be snowing in Wisconsin in March. Another big one coming tomorrow night.

We always keep track of the number of sleeps/year. Last year it was 74 and this year were are aiming for 95 - 100. Each year, for the last 3 years, we have tried to increase that # and so far our plan is working.

We were in your area last summer. Spent a few nights at a State Park, Four Mile Creek I think. We had a great time .

We bought our 5ver in the fall, so, only 3 weekend (6 nites)trips. Used the Terry trailer before that, maybe 20 nites, all weekends. Had to cancel week trips to Williamsburg VA & Sea Isle City NJ. Were planning those two trips again this year.

Well, since I don't have my Montana yet, I figured I may be able to contribute to this topic by doing some calc-u-tutions as follows:

To this point in the responses (2-17-09 @ 3:00 PM EST)there were -

33 people responded to days in unit, totaling 4,363 days, with an average of 132 days per year and,

14 people have responded to mileage (I converted the kilometers to miles), totaling 210,000 miles, with an average of 15,000 miles per year.

Where a range was given I used the midpoint.

Ah well, it gives me something to do while contemplating future days on the road.

Interesting thread! I envy all you long timers/full timers.

A job change last year kept us down to three long weekends (9 days).

Already have plans for about 20 - 25 days this year but all pretty close to home.

Thanks for compiling Larry. We had about 40 nights last year with approx. 5,000 miles on the old 5er. Looking forward to doing as much or more with the new 'tana. BTW, love the kokopelli in your sig.
