In Mississippi tags prices are based on book value. My 09 model 3000rk was 480.00. But this can vary depending on which county or city you live in. They can all charge their own fees. Each year the book value is less so the tag goes down a little each year. Then of course the state charges 7% sales tax when you first register it.

Blamb,

For your taxes and registration just after purchase depending on how much you negotiate down to plan on paging about $1500 to our great state. Then every year it will be $93.00 with the dealers cut of the tag. I just went through this in Oklahoma City last January. The renewal is now due and it is $93.00 for the 5th wheel. The laws have changed a little this year so it could be a little more or a little less. It is still better than the $400-$1000 it cost every year about 8 years ago.
Good Luck
Phil

Ouch! Thanks for the warning! You may have just saved me a lot of headache. I had no idea the initial cost would be that much. Thank you so much!
