Camping (RVing) in the snow

The ground is white out the back window of the 3400, snow is falling. Fresh water tank is full (forecast is for high teens, low 20's in WV tonight), fireplace is on, kids are arguing, 18th anniversary with DW is on tap for tomorrow, life is good and we are truly blessed. Hope everyone is having as good a time as we are.

Remember to keep that furnace running so your underbelly won't freeze up. Sure sounds like a great way to spend an anniversary. Enjoy!

Here are a couple of pictures taken this morning. Overnight lows went into the twenties, campground has heat tape on faucet, fresh water hose is under Monty and never froze last night. Morning sunrise was beautiful on the snow. DW had breakfast in bed so I am on the good husband list for a while:

The view out the back window:

We wish a glorious resurrection day to everyone!! Happy Easter!!

Lake effect..Bands of Lake effect snow..words that strike terror into the hearts of those of us who know what they mean. The Cleveland weather station at the airport reports that it has been snowing for over 40 consecutive hours. Indians home opener called off twice due to snow . Tried to play yesterday and had to stop the game because the hitters could not see the ball in the snow storm. There is maybe 8/10 inches of snow out front and we are NOT in the snow belt..We shoudda stood in Arizona????

We got about two inches of snow here in Williamsburg, VA, last night, much to my chagrin. I had to run some errands and hit a band of snow on the interstate that was truly beautiful. The sun is out, the skies are blue, the temperatures are climbing and most of the snow is gone already. I hope winter had its last gasp for this spring and now we'll move back into spring.

Happy Anniversary. Enjoy the good life. It is colder here than normal in NC but better is on the way. No snow all year.

sreigle, I hope you are right about the last gasp of winter. 18 this morning in KC and 17 tomorrow morning. Hard to believe I have mowed the yard twice and now it is this cold.

Laziness pays for once - almost turned on the sprinklers, but never got to it. 2 inches on the ground, and still snowing.

Happy Anniversary Bingo and Cathy!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BINGO AND CATHY!!!!! It actually looks like "Breakup" here in Anchorage, AK. Temps in 40's lately. Hope it is but one can never tell about the north country. Summer will be here soon enough and then we will all be griping about the heat. What a life!!!!!

Happpy Anniversary Folks, it's well below normal in Manitoba too as far as the temps. go. We hope to head out on our first camping trip in two weeks. Not many camping spots open up here in Canada until at least May 1st with most opening around May 15th or so. We only have a limited selection to choose from till then.

We're planning on leaving for our Bellaire CG for the summer on April 22nd (10 days from this last forecast). This is on top of a base where they had a "Blizzard" (NWS terminology), a "Winter Storm", and "Lake Effect Snow Warnings" since last Wed here.

I DON'T want to have to bookmark the thread on freezing pipes. Maybe stay in this 80 degree weather for another week? Or two? This weather is ridiculous! Guess I should remember that we really are NOT on a time schedule...

Think I go see the CG mgr here tomorrow. Only hitch is that I have a service scheduled for our dealership in Clyde, OH on the 25th...

I've talked to my friend Ann, the CG manager where I stay in the summer, and it's still wet and snowing up in the thumb of MI. If things don't change soon, I'm gonna have to find an open site, and just part my Monty on there until I can get it on my site. It can't stay parked in the middle of the road like it is now...LOL I think I'll take a drive up there tomorrow and check things out. I'm getting really anxious trying to get the Monty situated, plus trying to get ready for the big move. I need a vacation...LOL
