GREAT NEWS!
While Paul and I were in Montana in June we had such a great time. We just didn't realize how great of a time we had till we got home. We decided that after the Reno BBQ Cookoff trip, we would just keep on going back up to Montana. My daughter was thrilled. When we got up there we decided to sell the house in Rancho Cucamonga Ca. and move there. We started looking for property. But then we were told that if you want to put a manufactured house on a piece of property you might be disappointed. I guess they don't think to kindly of alot of the manufactured housing. We looked at a really nice log one. Then my daughter suggested we talk to her friend who is a realtor. So we went to her office and she started pulling up properties. Nothing really impressed us like the manufactured house did. Then on a whim she did one final search. She pulled up 3 and told us that was our homework for the next day. We went out and looked at all 3. The 3rd one was perfect. It is on 1 1/2 acres. Is only 1 year old. Has (can you believe this) a pull thru complete RV full hookup including sewer. It is like they built it for us. We made a bid, the sellers took it and we are the proud new owners. We will be relocating by the end of October. If all goes well with the sell of the old house. We are thrilled. So wish us luck with our new life. We have lived here for 32 years and it is time for a move.

We will be going to Kalispell Montana. We did a lot of looking in Whitefish and Columbia Falls but the properties weren't even big enough for the house let alone the Monty. LOL....We are only about 12 miles away from my daughter. That is enough distance from conflict...LOL No (thats not true) she is a doll. She is flying out to help us pack. Lots of yard sales and giving things away. Then we are just going to have United load ur up and take ur away....LOL Thank you all for your good wishes. It was a BIG dicision believe me. But it didn't take long once we came back to Cal. Things they are a changin......Kathi

Paul & Kathi,
Congratulations on the move to Montana. We were just through the area and I picked up every real estate guide I could find. Even though we love the area we're in now I'm always looking for greener pastures in a state where my retirement funds may go further.

Kathi, We have family in the Kalispell area. Barbara's uncle Jim lives in Lakeside and his daughters live nearby. Barbara's family homestead is near Shelby and Cut Bank. Family still lives and works the ranch there. Numerous relatives in the area. We have almost annual family reunions in and around lakeside, East Glacier, Shelby etc.
We have always enjoyed the summers back there but the winters scare us. Our weather is bad enough here in Northern CA. Some of the relatives leave Montana for the winters and end up in Arizona and the like. They usually stop by for a few weeks here at the ranch coming and going.
Enjoy your new adventure and say howdy to our relations.

Congratulations, Kathi. We loved the Kalispell area when we were there in July. It is beautiful and especially nice if you have family there. Another adventure.

Way to go. Our Niece lives in Whitefish, and has for several years - she loves it there - we looked at property there also, but couldn't make the move - you give us hope still....

Trailer Trash 2. There is no comparison. I sold the California house for $400,000. It was built in 1969 and had no property. I bought the house in Montana for $249,950 with 1 1/2 acres. Paid cash for the Montana house. Don't owe a dime. Granted the weather is very different. But I didn't see anyone dying because they were cold. We just decided that we needed to be where our daughter was. It was really the best move we have ever made in our lives.

Chaser, my daughter lives in Columbia Falls and works on the Big Mountain at the Alpinglow Inn. She loves it there. Isn't that funny.
