Looking for a report from Parrotthead

That new 2006 GMC sure looks nice in your signature. I think you should tell us about it.

Okay just hadn't got around to it. Ed loves it (so do I but I didn't drive). The 6 speed Allison is wonderful. Does the breaking down hill which was the thing he has always worried about with diesels. He was also very impressed with how well it holds the road and we didn't even notice the big rigs passing us. We were in our first 500 miles towing and we were suppose to keep it at 50-55. I had the GPS on and would notice the speed increasing and say we are at 60 and he said it just does that with no noticable effect. Almost all of our driving was mountainous and we had some very strong head and side winds which didn't bother Brutus at all. We got 10.5 mpg which considering we are still in breakin, the mountains, the winds and stop and go in the small towns on the 395, we thought was pretty good. It goes up mountains with ease. The ride was smooth and we see no reason for any add ons. We are also very pleased with the Prodigy brake controller. Our previous one came with no instructions and it was always a hassle to operate and I hated the jerky thing that happened trying to get it set. With the Prodigy we sat it and forgot about it. Very nice. All in all we are very, very pleased with the TV and with our Montana. Would recommend both very highly. If you have any questions, let me know.
Happy trails.........................

Congratulations on the new truck. Those mirrors look like a great improvement. We have one just like it on order (except steel grey metalic) to mate with our Cambridge. Now I hate to go anywhere until it arrives.

One question. Do they still want you to change out the rear end grease after a few towing miles? I didn't do that on our 2003 until I had 10k miles and about 5000 tow miles. Never had any ill effects though.
Again, congrats and good luck.

Dave,
Haven't read anything about that and service people didn't mention it. Ed loves the new style mirrors. Says you just have to get use to them.
Happy trails.....................
