Insurance issues resolved, finally
We bought our 2010 new when the 2012's were already coming out. It was a discontinued model and it had booth seating for the dining room and nobody wanted it but us. As a result we paid less for our rig than we did for our truck. That was great except that we full time and wanted our rig replaced in the event of a total loss. Since we bought it on the spur of the moment I really didn't have a lot of time to shop for insurance. All companies were unwilling to do a replacement policy because our rig, while brand new, was two model years old. I finally found one that would do an agreed upon value, but recently found that while I was paying for that value, the company was depreciating our add ons which is most of what our rig is now worth. Those who know us know that nothing from the TV to the floors are original and we've added Solar, IS, Level-up etc. At the Escapees Rally in Tucson this year I met with Cheryl the owner of Miller insurance. Working with her firm and Automotive Appraisal Services we were able to get my rig appraised at a reasonable value and my insurance with a company that will not depreciate that amount over time. If you have a problem similar to ours, or just need someone who will be honest with you, I would recommend checking with these folks.
