Cleared to go, almost.

We have been planning all fall on leaving the kool rainey NW on or about the 1st of Dec. Destination - WARM SUNSHINE. About a week ago we decided on the 2nd as pull out day. The Doc gave me an AOK on my physical to take off south.

Some time ago I posted that the best way to winterize your rig is to head south. No need for pink stuff. We normally do not get a good freeze till later. Well, several weeks ago we had a cold snap and had to put pink in. Then yep it warmed up and rained big time with great wind. Trees down everywhere. Lost power in stick house. After a couple of days wanted a shower, so unwinterize Monty. Heat water, later on the way out to turn on the furnace on comes the power in the house. Oh well it won't get cold again before we leave. Start packing stuff. Sat. night is snowed a little. Sunday AM back in goes pink. Snowed like he-- all day and half the night. It is now 20 degrees with no good news on when we can get out of here. Moral of story is do not tell anyone how to winterize. It may be the middle of next week before the sunshine hunt starts.

Looking forward to greeting old friends and meeting new ones.

See ya in the sunshine.

Good luck on getting out of here

I took some pitures of the snow here in Bellingham @ the RV park. Click on the link below and you should be able to see them. We are going to try to be brave and wait out the winter. There is always a first.( this may be my last too)

December 2 is coming fast! I am sure you must be excited on the upcoming journey southward. Travel safe and enjoy the rest of the winter in warm sunshine.

Hello Dick and Toni,
Good to hear you got the clearance on the medical. But sorry to hear about the white stuff and the cold snap. I thought of you guys as I sat watching the football game and the beautiful green field turned WHITE! Wow! Did it come down. At least they won the game. Just put some chains on that big new truck of yours and hitch up and go wherever you want to go! You won't have any trouble with that rig.

OK.... well we'll warm up a spot for you here at the house. You know we can use the moisture down this way so don't bother knocking it off your rig! And this time try to keep you awning on!

See you soon.
