New air conditioner system

Hi all, I have noticed the new Montana's have done away with the whisper quiet air conditioning system. Are the new units as quiet as the whisper quiet? We are looking to purchase a new 5ver soon and want to get as much info as possible.
Thanks
Chris.

We have had our 22 for several weeks now. We went from a 2020 that had the previous design system. I believe the new design is a little quieter. It seems like the new return flows more and has the new filter that seems to dampen the noise. I really like the change so far.

Do you have the Blade PURE Air Handling System or the standard Coleman Mach Q grill? When we were at the Tampa RV Super Sow we saw models with both

IF they made changes, I sure hope they made the change that matters the most.
Adequate Air Flow and more vents at better locations in Master Bedroom.

We camp where it is hot,,,like really hot. We could care less about air sound. That sound is music to our ears. Tells us , YEP our rig is gonna cool off when it is 90 -95'

We want that sound, we NEED that sound.

*have you thought about turning ac off and running fans? Is that possible?

*Tell sales you want them to hook unit UP, plug her in so you can listen. We always have 1 or two Rigs we narrowed it down to, hook it up...lets check out the AC. THEN we buy. Never buy first. We learned the hard way once.

Trying to figure out how to keep it cool in this hot Washington weather. What's the difference between COOL HI and COOL HI AUTO?

Cool Hi will keep the fan running all the time regardless if the compressor is running or not. In other words, constant fan. Many believe this will keep the air conditioner coil from freezing up. It is the setting we use all summer. We find the constant fan more soothing to the ear than the fan cycling on and off.
Cool Auto the fan only runs when the compressor is running.

Something else to consider is the placement of the temp sensor. I thought it was in the thermostat. However, some ac units have the sensor in the return air supply plenum. I considered moving my kitchen thermostat away from my coffee maker, thinking the heat was interfering with room temperature reading. On those 100°F days I have to keep the thermostat setting at 55°.... anything higher causes the ac to shut off. BTW keeping temp set this low maintains a comfortable 72°.

YEP Jimcol

The cycle ON off, ON off, ON OFF when set to auto is annoying when sleeping too. We noticed that when heat is turned on to.

We refuse to camp during chilly/colder months because of it.
