Hole in side wall of slide

While washing my rv I notice a hole in the side wall of my bedroom slide. We have no idea what could have caused it. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas
Hoidea how to fix this.
Thank you in advance for you help

My guess would be you've been around someone with a large lawnmower and it threw one or more rocks at you. Not sure the right way to fix it, but I'd probably use eternabond tape. It comes in black from Amazon and if it is the product to use to fix roofs, for me it would be the product for that.

A more permanent repair would be bondo or fiberglass repair kit from an auto parts store.

Repair with this. https://www.homedepot.com/p/3M-Bondo...0420/205798047. After mixing the resin, apply sparingly, smooth it out as best as you can, and don't attempt to sand it down, unless you plan on repainting the spot. New paint will not match, and the sanding will scar up too much and really be noticeable. So, just apply over the affected area, and leave it. done. You''ll have about 5 minutes to work with the Bondo before it starts setting up. Once it starts setting up, it sets up fast, and you can't do anything until it hardens, Then you sand the imperfections and if needed apply a second coat .... (On larger areas).

yep

I have 2 of these in the side of my unit, diferent places. I inspect the camper closely when we get to our destination and when we get home. I`m betting when you go through a small town or off high way some twit is hurling rocks at you/me/others. There`s no lawn mowers near mine. This isn`t something you would hear or feel going down the road. Some people.

Leaving something leaning on the slide's sidewall like a broom or shovel and forgetting to remove it before closing the slideout. A ladder leaning against the side of the camper is easily toppled by a gust of wind pushing it sideways. Happened to me.

It may have happened when it was closed

Be careful when the slide is closed that there is nothing inside leaning on the side. Storing equipment or a bike in the bedroom when it is closed could have caused the damage.
