Brass quick connect fittings.

I know Home Depot and Lowe's sells quick connect fittings but where have any of you bought good quality brass quick connect fittings for the water hose and convenience center. I want to change everything to quick connect.I have found several places on-line but want good quality. Thanks.

bought all of mine from Do-it-Best, but they have changed recently to crap so, when I need some more I'll be in the search also.

I had bought a bunch of them in Quartzsite many years ago. No one there carries them any longer (the cheap plastic ones replaced them). I did find the same type on Amazon. Be aware that each manufacturer's connector is different from most all others.

I use the brass ones I purchased from Lowes some time back. I find an occasional coating of silicone plumbers grease on the O-ring helps maintain the seal. I have also had to replace the O-rings on several of them. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Yardsmith-Y...r-Set/50328307

Ace hardware has good connectors and replacement washers when thy leak.
I also use the red soft plastic fittings from camping world that have a rubber washer all the way through them. It’s like a stop leak fitting. Usually in a bucket near the cash register.

Most of the big box stores are now selling brass colored aluminum fittings that will corrode and fail fairly quickly (one summer season for one set I used) I bought a couple sets from AM Leonard which though pretty expensive have worked well, especially the pair on the 3/4" macerator discharge hose.

I got mine at Lowes and found same at Wal Mart. They are brass but you have to be careful not to over tighten or the rubber washer pushed out. I am on lookout for better design

Not to hijack the thread, but I have considered these. However, the connector in the wall seems pretty flimsy and made of plastic. I worry about these breaking when trying to connect or disconnect. When I have looked at these, it seems you have to put a lot of pressure on the connection to push/pull the two ends together and could break something. Comments?

A.M. Leonard is what i have been looking at. I found a set at another place that is U.S. made but even more expensive than A.M. Leonard. I called Leonard and they are made in China as well as just about everyone elses. Leonard is 13.89 per set and i would need 2 sets plus another male fitting so i would probably buy 3 sets. Hopefully these will be better than the other China made fittings as Sailuns are better than the other China made tires.

There was a recent thread where folks are replacing the plastic OEM panel fittings with superior brass. I highly recommend that upgrade. Also using a 45 degree hose fitting will reduce strain on the connection. To reduce stress while coupling simply hold the 45 with one hand and push hose end with other

I use a 45 on the water inlet and a 90 on the flusher, both with quick connects. These fittings on that water panel sure are flimsy and those angled fittings take much of the strain off.

I looked at the back side of that water panel considering replacing the plumbing with either 1/2" copper or PVC and decided that would be a project way down on the bottom of my list of projects. There are times that the old Newmar Kountry Aire with all copper plumbing looks good

I have the 45 degree for city water and black tank. I just need a 45 degree for the fresh water then i will install the quick connect to all 3 and that should put me in business. Improvements are never ending. I ordered me some extra o -rings for the male and female connectors at the same time as ordering the connectors. Now i just need to order my valterra valves and install them and maybe i can let my pocket book take a break. I might try to install the valves before i have my rotator cuff surgery as this will shut me down for several weeks if not months. I sure do a lot of improvements for someone who is very part-time.I don't think i could afford full time with what i spend lol.

I use short leader hoses that will extend out the opening in the bottom to connect to longer hoses and then stow up in the convenience center for travel and storage. Only connect them to the inlets once and easy to hook up to longer service hoses.

Sounds like a good idea. I would only need the leader hoses to extend out about 6'' at most from the bottom
