Wiring Connector, 5er To TV
Do the Montanas come with the standard seven pin wiring connector to hook up the the stock TV wire connector, or is something more exotic required?

I think they all come with the standard 7 pin RV plug. The industry standards are the 7 pin plug and most if not all manufactures have gone to using it.

All the ones I've seen come with the industry standard 7 pin connectors. You TV if equipped to tow will also have a 7 pin female receptacle, (usually under the bumper on Chevys, don'tknow about ford or dodge)

My 2007 3500 drw cc D/A will have the one female recepticle under the bumper and one in the forward part of the bed. The latter is an option for those pulling 5th wheels.

The 7 pin is an industry standard. Most trucks equiped with the TT package, have this connector mounted next to the reciever at the lower center of the bumper. Also, for 5th wheels, a Y entender harness is available for some trucks as a factory option. Otherwise, a $40-50 add-on is available from most common Trailer supply stores. They are easy to install and do not require any wire cutting. I installed one on my Ford in about 20 minutes.

Most newer trucks come with the 7 pin connector under the bumper and my 5th wheel louvered tailgate allows the RV electric cable to go under the tailgate and and plug into my truck's connector.
I then tie wrap the cable to the tailgate to hold it in place. I have done this for years and it works for me.
