Hot water is too HOT

Is there any way to control the temperature on a Suburban 10 gal hot water heater? It's so hot I'm concerned my kids will get scallded.

The newer ones have an ajustment behind a small rubber cover on the heater.

ON ours if you run the propane and the electric it will get very hot so we just use the electric most of the time. Then when it is shower time we turn on the propane and let it heat for about 15 minutes so we don't run out of hot water. Ours does not have a ajustment on it.

Wife says our propane hot water is not hot enough to wash dishes ( Elect Hot water is ) Both seem hot enough to me in the shower. ( she doesn't allow me to wash dishes.... But I can dry ). (If he washes the dishes, it takes me half an hour to clean up after him - Dawn)

On our Monty, both the electric and propane thermostats (I understand there are two) are both set by the factory at 130 degrees. I needed to have one replaced because it was not cutting out at 130 and we were concerned about the grandkids. Apparently, the thermostats are not adjustable (at least on our system).
