Our first major trip

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Everybody,
We are on our first long trip to beautiful Maine and Nova Scotia.
Right now we are camping in Camden Hills Campground near Camden. Funny thing is that when we arrived our site is back to back with another Montana trailer. Of course I went and introduce myself and asked him if he is a member of The Montana Owners website and to my surprise he was not. I told him all about how helpful and great people are in this site to share their own experiences and advise.
On the way here we had only one Montana sighting on I495 in Massachusetts I did flash lights but to no response. Our Monty
after first 460 miles performed without any problem. I love my new 5th airborne king pin. What a difference in the comfort of towing.
Only hairy situation was when we tried to refuel and we had to get off the interstate. We got on a secondary road and there was a traffic light on the steep uphill. After the light changed to green I stepped on the gas and there was no truck movement for about 5 sec. and after that we started to move very slowly. Did anybody have a similar experience? Sorry for a long topic.

A fellow Monty owner and MOC member was workamping this summer at Camden. At least I am 90% sure it was Camden. They may have left already but if you see yet another Monty or ask at the office about Roger and Jean. On here their user ID is rogerinrv.

Enjoy your first big trip...sounds like you have a nice one planned. Dave and I are also surprised by the amount of Monty's we see along the way...and when we go up to talk to them, they also know nothing about this forum. So we take a few minutes to let them know what they've truly been missing out on. Do hope to one day run into someone we "know." Safe travels!

Enjyoy the trip, Maine and Nova Scotia are beautiful. If you have the chance go to Prince Edward Island.
