Almost for certain it is a 7.3. The 6.0 didn't arrive until 2003 or so. I got one of the last 7.3s and I got mine in later 2002.

The 7.3s are noted for their longevity and dependability. Didn't want to take a chance with the newer engine. So far I'm relatively happy.
