3120RL Central Vacuum bag

Exciting day.
We took delivery on our 2019 20th Edition 3120RL.
Our previous 5th wheel was a 2012 3100RL

This will be my first (of many) request for suggestions/help.

The central vacuum unit is located on the wall separating the "garage" storage from the space containing all the "utilities".
During the walkthru we were told that to change the vacuum bag, you must un-screw the wall from the support framing and carefully swing the wall forward to gain access to the bag. And there should be enough "give" in the hoses and wiring as to not mess anything up.

I was shocked!!!
So, I am hoping that someone has some suggestion as how to alter the system so that changing the vacuum bag is much easier.

thanks
-ed

Ed,

Go buy one of the handy stick vacs and don't mess with the central vac. The only useful part is the toe kick in the kitchen. The hose end does not have good suction.

Congrats on the new rig!

That is incorrect. During our PDI Tech showed how to get at bag without removing wall. Problem is I have slept a few times since then. I would review the manual. Or in tech support terms RTM.

I agree with the Stick vacuum. I use the Kitchen toe kick daily for the kitchen floor, but nothing beats my Dyson for the carpets.

Not in mine. The cover just pops off and you replace the bag (can't remember how, but it is obvious). I bought some extra bags off Amazon. To be honest, the only time it has been turned on was to see if it works.

Ours just pops off, but the crippled fat guy has to unload the basement and crawl all the way in there to change it. We use a Shark instead of the built in except for the handy little sweep the floor and suck it up thing so I don't change it often. If you do get a Shark or are near someone who has one, do the type of test they used to do on TV. The first time I vacuumed with the built in (and we had added the working beater bar) and then immediately vacuumed with the Shark I had to empty the Shark twice before I could finish.

UPDATE!!!
The front cover does "pop" off exposing the bag.
I appreciate the other comments,
getting a stick vacuum
the hose has poor suction
need to empty garage space to change bag.

Remember the vent in the basement on the bag compartment has to be closed or you will lose suction. Not as good as a regular vac but serves it's purpose.
