Duo-Therm "Quick Cool"

My dealer didn't include any paperwork on my AC unit so I hope someone here will be able to answer my question. My unit is the 15k BTU with "Quick Cool", does this unit come standard with a heat pump? If so how do you use it since the thermostat has only heat and cool and that heat is the furnace? Do you just put it on cool and turn it up?
