Texas Gulf Coast CG Advice

We are considering a trip to the Texas Gulf Coast in February or March of next year, want to do some fishing and just relax. Looking for a nice park to stay in.

Any Advise would be appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

How do you plan to fish? Kayak, guide, bringing boat, pier or bank? Port Mansfield, TX is a great getaway, lots of wildlife, but pier or bank fishing sux.

We like it here in Aransas Pass at ICW RV Park. We have plenty of pier and bank or wade fishing. Good kayaking too. You might shoot me a PM detailing what sort of fishing you want to do, and I'll suggest a campground or two that I know about. BTW, we caught more fish here from the bank the first week we were here than we did in 3 months at Port Mansfield. Plenty of fish there, but you need a kayak or a boat.

Here is a little unknown for you:
Tiki Tom's Rv park Tiki Island, TX (real close to Galveston). The rebuilt their sites after Ike. They have 30 new full time sites at $385 a month plus pay Electricity. Their overnight price is $35 and weekly is $200. They have lighted fishing piers for camper only (Several of them) It is close to the I-45 into Galveston, well the overnighters are, but you'll probably be running the AC even in December n some days.

I have no affiliation with this CG.

Edited: The Texas Gulf Coast goes from Port Arthur (Northern Gulf Coast) to Port Isabel (Southern Gulf Coast) 460+ road miles. Anywhere particular you are looking for?

Thanks for the info. I don't really know much about this area, just wanted to get out of the cold for a couple of weeks. I may go out on a charter boat once, mostly pier or surf fishing. I will do some research on the areas you suggested.

Thanks
Gary
