HANGING PICTURES
Happy New Year to everybody!!! I am looking for some advice on how to hang framed pictures on the walls in the rig, some as big as 16 x 20, so that they are still in tact when we get to our destination. I know if there is an answer, I will find it here. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jack

Industrial Strength Velcro. Make sure it's industrial strength. Put a piece the entire width on the top and on the bottom. This should hold it secure. It has worked for many.
Where are you hanging a picture that large? Just curious.

We took the mirror out of the bathroom and I have a large poster in a frame plus smaller pictures there. We hung them on a screw and then attached the industrial strength double stick tape to the sides and bottom. They haven't moved in several years and lots of rough roads.
Happy trails.........................

I used a hanger hook on the top and velcro on the bottom to keep it from swinging and bouncing. Good luck. Cheers,

We have several small pictures/tiles and also use the velcro. Ours have been up for many miles with no problem. Only thing I am a little concerned about is removing the velcro from the walls if we ever trade in this unit. Guess I may just have to leave them since they are not personal photos but decorative ones.

Velcro works the best in case you didn't get the drift from the other replys. When you use the velcro make sure that is where you want the picture since removing the velcro could damage the walls. And Joyce, we would just leave the picture if we ever sold our unit, replacing any personal photos with decorative ones!

We have several pictures, plaques, etc., that we have hung with velcro. Velcro works great because it doesn't harm the walls and it can be removed using a hair dryer. The only thing that I have hung with a nail (picture hanger) is our clock and even then I put a piece of velcro behind it to help keep a little of the weight off the nail and prevent swinging of the clock.
We have all of our family and our children's families pictures up with velcro. When you're fulltime, it's nice to be able to look at the pictures.

Thank you all for your suggestions and recommendations. It sounds like i should use velcro. That is kind of what I was thinking, but I too was concerned about removing it when we trade the rig. Thanks Orv for the idea of using the hair dryer to remove the velcro from the walls. Well, I'm off to Wally World to get some velcro and personalize the rig some more .

Jack, we use velcro with 3M Command strips, which remove with no residue. We found ours at a hardware store.
