Garlic Cheese Bread Recipe

Here's the recipe several people from MOC asked Kathy for at the potluck and happy hours.

GARLIC CHEESE BREAD SLICES
1 cup Sour Cream (I use fat free)

2 Tblsp. Parmesan Cheese grated

2 tsp Worchestershire sauce

¼ tsp of paprika

1/8 tsp of celery seeds

1 tsp of garlic powder

Dash of pepper

2 cups of shredded Cheddar Cheese

4 green onions chopped (optional)

2 Tblsp. Bacon Bits (optional)

1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

24 slices of ¾ inch French Bread or Baguette Bread

Mix all ingredients except the bread in a large bowl.

Teaspoon mixture onto bread slices, spreading it about ¼’’ thin or it will run all over the baking sheet

Bake on a cookie sheet at 400 degrees 10-12 minutes until cheese is golden brown.

Allow to cool before serving.

These can be frozen in a Ziploc bag if you want to bake later! This way you can bake as few as you want per occasion.

FOR CONVECTION OVEN:

Press the “Half time oven” button, press 400 for the temp and 6 minutes for bake. The oven will automatically preheat about 5 extra minutes.

Wow! Thanks for sharing... this sounds delicious! I'm going to serve it for Super Bowl but I need to know what the question marks (?) represent. I don't want all the goodies sliding off the bread.

Navigator. I agree that this definitely sounds like a Superbowl item to try this Sunday.

About the question marks (?). I get those when my browser cannot interpret characters correctly and the "character code" generator for the computer inserts these to note that what you read is not necessarily what's there.

Since I know a little about these things I will retype only those contents that I think might be showing the "?"...

1/4 tsp of paprika

24 slices of 3/4 inch french bread or baguette bread

Teaspoon mixture onto bread slices, spreading it about 1/4" thin or it will run all over the baking sheet

Did I get them all?
