Sacramento to Napa

Can anyone advise me on the best way to pull my Monty from Reno over through Sacramento to Calistoga, CA in northern Napa? I am particulary interested in knowing if route 128 from Davis to Rutherford is a good enough road to tow on. Thanks for your help. JOhn

I would avoid 128 and go down 80 to the Hwy 12 exit (Jamison Canyon). Take 12 to Hwy 29 turn right on 29 and it will take you to Calistoga.

DHenry gave you the best route. We have traveled this route many times to Calistoga.
