Alaska and RV Life/Trip Wizard

This year Terrie and I will get to share two of our passions within our RVing lifestyle - travel planning and our favorite destination - Alaska. With Canada opening their borders, 2022 will see a big surge in travelers. Is 2022 the year? There will be two separate seminars, one on Alaska and one on trip planning, both interactive. Since we are currently planning another trip to Alaska, we will be sharing some of our itinerary, what we learned in the past and what resources we used. So, if you are interested in Alaska, that seminar will be on the schedule. The RV Life/Trip Wizard session will use our Alaska trip to show how we use this app/website to plan and document our trips. The interactive part here - bring your tablet or laptop with the app loaded and plan your trip while we are there to help. It should be a great time, as there will be many others I’m sure that will share their experiences. No need to sign up, no charge, just watch for it on the schedule. If you don’t like great scenery, wildlife, waterfalls, hot springs and adventures this probably isn’t for you.

We are looking forward to the seminar.

Question. What is and where is the schedule you are referring to? We are new to this forum but spent 2 months In Alaska in 2019 and are returning in 2023.

Kind regards and thanks In advance.

Roger and Shirley, when you checkin at registration it will be like the first day of school, with one exception. You get your year book at the start. Seriously, when you checkin you will be given a book with the schedule, bios of all the attendees, coupons and info on the area, etc. One of the things that you will find is the schedule isn’t set until late because of all the people that we need to coordinate for seminars. You will have people from Keystone, Lippert, MorRyde, Dometic, ASA, Furrion, etc. Plus there will be some new things this year. Add to that all of the RV manufacturers also have their dealer shows around the same timeframe. Having been Wagonmaster in the past, I really appreciate the job Marilyn and Rich and their team are doing. So, be patient, the schedule and site assignments are coming. It just takes time. We look forward to seeing you at Rally.

Just be aware you need internet for RV Trip Wizard to work.

I’ll be retiring the first quarter of 2022 and our plan for years has been to take a slow trip to Alaska. We moved out of Alaska in 1987 and try going back up every couple years. We could only do a week or so due to work. I have driven the Alcan several times over the years when we lived up there. They were always quick trips out for weddings, funerals etc. We want to do it slow to really see everything we have missed.
