To those having Antenna problems!
Not sure if this info will help but thought I'd throw it out there.
I do believe all of us Montana owner's have Winegard Antennas. For the past 10 months Winegard employees have been cruising through the park I'm in with an Antennna stuck out through their car window checking for bad boosters.
I waved him over one day and asked him what he was looking for. He told me that he was, "checking for bad Antennas". He further stated that the only way he could tell if they were bad is if the "boost is on in an RV" Mine wasn't, because I use Dish, so I went in an turned mine own and it checked out. (My atenna works fine)
I asked him why Winegard did not just do a recall. He told me that the company feels this is the best method of handling the problem. Say What??? When most people in the park are connected to cable not even using their Antenna's?
Anyway, after I read about Steve's problem I thought I would post this. You might want to give Winegard a call. I have seen them replacing some antennas on newer units.
There is a (partial) list of Distributors on the back page of the Winegard Owner's Manual.
