recommend cg in S. C.?

Headed away from this snow for a short time. Can anyone recommend
a wonderful site in SC near Myrtle Beach? Or if you know of another
one we are flexible. I've heard there is a great cg in the mountains of northern Georgia, too. Wonder if we could get that far for just a few weeks? hmm... Thanks for any ideas you might have.

We stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in North Myrtle Beach in the summer. There are full timers living there in park models. They have an inclosed heated pool there next to a large office in the park. Close to walmart.

We are on our way there now. Last time we were there we stayed at Lake View (I think) but this time we will be going to Ocean View. Both were super and right next door to each other. They are both huge and right on the beach. We only had a week last time and got to see a lot. This time we will stay a month or more. Can't wait.

That would be Lakewood and OceanLakes they are both huge parks, Travel Park smaller and bit more peaceful. But I would say this time of year there is not that much traffic in nay of them as far as kids go, most are in school.

Bill and Helen,

We plan on being at Ocean Lakes Nov. 9-12. It sounds like you might be there then. Would love to meet you!

We considered Ocean Lakes but they don't allow my honey's scooter.
So that's a "no go" for us. We will look into the Travel
Park. Also considering one that is inland-Big Cypress in Conway.
Thanks for your ideas, we really appreciate your opinions. Maybe
we'll run into you once we get there. Travel Safe!

Sandy,
Electric scooter's are allowed at Ocean Lakes. I Just read it in their latest phamplet that we just received from them yesterday. All of their roads are paved so it works out beautifully. We like to rent a golf cart and ride around as it is such a huge place. I think you would love it there. When are you planning your vacation? Any possibility you might be there the same time we are. That would be nice.

Hi, Nita;
I couldn't believe the cg would not allow scooters, so I called the campground to ask about them because the information that we saw on the internet said no motorcycles. Battery
operated only and ours is gasoline. .I guess they're hoping to cut out excess noise. He actually uses the scooter for transportation once we get to our campsite. We are thinking about the first or second week of November to be in the area. We're looking at others in the area now. It would be wonderful to get together.

Well, I'm green with envy. The last time we were in Myrtle Beach was the day that Bobby Kennedy was shot so I think we're due for another visit. Even though it was 38 years ago, I remember the campgrounds were lovely and right on the beach. We were tent camping with three little ones. The baby was in his car seat that was hung through the open window of the front car door when we heard about the assassination. Aaaaahhhhh, the memories.

Have a wonderful stay in Myrtle Beach. Glen heard that there was snow in northern Indiana this morning.

Snow here in Ohio, too. Yesterday, today a possibility and more possibility over the weekend. big ick. I have to ask myself why we live in Ohio when we both dislike winter so very much. I know, it's
our family that we've raised here.

Hey Judy, You are not that far away. I think it would be great if you returned to Myrtle Beach and shared Thanksgiving with us. We both have so much to be thankful for.
