Back from our first big trip

Still getting used to the big hips of the dually.

I always religiously use our surge protector.
At KOA in Joplin it caught a low voltage on one leg of the 50 AMP circuit.
Fix was to switch to 30 Amp for the night.
Soon to be minted son-in-law wired up 30 amp plug for us.
Surge protector caught that he wired it up 2 hots and a ground instead if hot, neutral and ground. Did tell him trying to burn down in-laws shiny new camper is not considered a good start.

Drove 13 hours in 40-50 degree weather and truck kept battery charged and residential refer cold!! 12.9V battery voltage after 12 hours of driving. Stock battery from dealer.
Real test will be driving across Texas in the summer.

Furnace died. Was cycling off before reaching set temperature, then it would fail to light, cycle off and retry to light about an hour later. May give dealer a shot at fixing that one.

Because of failed furnace learned a space heater will keep bedroom warm with door closed for sleeping.
Fireplace will supply heat when room temp drops below 65. Would prefer it to be settable.

Heat pump will run at 40 degrees outside temp and raise inside temp about 5 degrees before it needs to be turned off.

You guessed it. Tailgater will not work with trailer sat wiring-- need to redo wiring. 2 sat connectors and 2 TVs-- how hard is it to manufacture without adding splitters? Last 3 SOBs did not have to mess with sat cabling.

Had to totally re-hang track for sliding glass closet door. it is only mounted to paneling and not something more solid.

1 for 5 on getting Auto level to work. Second nature now on clearing errors.
Oh and Electric jsacks will lift wheels on a side.

Need to figure out how to adjust striker plate from rubbing on door causing to to be hard to open and close.

Need to add 1x6 for SolidStep feet. They like to pick up mud. Love the steps though.

Before furnace died, figured out need to restrict hot air in bathroom. We would like the sauna to be optional.

Backup camera is a nice feature.

Really like the floorplan.
Can "hide" from DW by just sitting in recliner.

Overall we really like the floorplan. DW would like more cabinet space in kitchen.

This camper seems to need a lot more tweaking, tightening.rewiring, customizing and adjustments than any of our SOBs

Interesting observation Son-in-law's 2001 bass boat trailer has disc brakes standard
