Question Styrofoam from AC Vents

Hello all
Obviously my 3791 does not make real snow inside, however I do have a problem with a lot of Styrofoam in most if not all of my ceiling AC ducts.
I can hear it fluttering around and I constantly have to pick this stuff up. I have no idea where it is coming from. I have not been up on the roof yet to pull the shrouds and make sure its not chewing the Styrofoam housing around the AC unit. I get this from both AC’s not just one. The worst one is the rear and the one we run the most. Any ideas on either how to clean this and end the problem or where to look to see what is causing it?
Any help would be appreciated, I am glad to say we needed the AC yesterday as the temps were in the high 80’s lower 90’s and humid.

I had a similar issue with my 2017 3661RL. However, my issue was sawdust. I hoisted my shop vac up on the roof pulled both shrouds on the units, carefully removed the styrofoam separators and vacuumed everything out. Moved to the interior removed all duct grills on both supply and returns and fished shop vac hose thoroughly back and forth. That got the job done. I repeated the process about a year later when I was fixing collapsed duct work. Not sure if there are any other sources of styrofoam other than the separtors in the units themselves. I think your on the right track to start there first.

I believe the ducting is fabricated from foil backed foamboard and they holesaw thru the ceiling into the duct to install the registers. We've gotten some "snow" as well but it seems to have stopped after a couple months.

My motor hame does this. It’s the styrofoam coming loose in the ac ductwork. No real problem if you don’t mind cleaning it up.

AS mentioned, I believe it is left over from construction. I pulled top covers and vacuum units. Put blower set on low and blew ducts clear - same with furnace. Just don't use full power.

When we took possession of our used Monty the vents were blowing styrofoam as well. We had a mouse problem up there. Added some mouse poison and cleaned out ducts with vacuum and even ran cleaning rags through them. Haven’t had any problems since.

Take Duct directional plate off

I am not sure what its is called but the duct grate in the ceiling that you can turn to direct the AC airflow. Can this be easily remove to vacuum the ducts to clear out the Styrofoam? Is there some other way if those cannot be removed?

Thank you in advance
