Frozen sewer discharge hose

Question from an idiot!
A severe cold snap dropped the temperature to -12 Celsius and my sewer hose is frozen and the black tank is full. I had inadvertenly forgotten to completely close one of the grey tank valves. It is now fully closed.
To thaw the hose would it be harmful to run hot water from the the taps and shower, and then add non-toxic anti freeze before opening the tank valves?
Any advice would be appreciated.
