AC insulation

I lost my rear AC cover on my last camping trip. As a result of the cover blowing off, I also lost the insulation covering the front two portions of the unit. Do I need to replace the insulation? Any tips on replacing the insulation? Think of just covering the area in spray foam. Any thoughts or recommendations?

You might check with some RV dealers who have replaced failed A/C units and see if they might have one that has the foam insulation that will fit your A/C. I believe the foam material is also there to direct air flow within the unit.

Thank you, but local dealer didn’t have any old Dometic ACs….
