New arrival

Hello all,
I'm Tim and I full time with my wife Heather in Alaska in a 3790RD. I'm retired Navy, the wife works on base. We are currently the camp host on JBER (military base near anchorage). Not new to camping but new to the fifth wheel lifestyle. I find it hard to call this camping. This is a condo that's mobile if you ask me. Had the rig nearly a year with very few issues, pleasantly surprised at how she did through the winter. Just a little cheap skirting and a space heater and we are good to go, even down to the negative temps.
Can anyone direct me to where I can find more detailed schematics on my rig? I would like to modify the water pump to quiet it down (I know it's inherently noisy) just like to get a mat under and try to reduce the vibration noise, would even consider some noise baffling to absorbed some of the racket. It's not normally an issue but the wife works nights and sleeps during the day so I either use no water during the day or figure out a solution. I have figured that the pump is under the linen cabinet between the shower and the commode, just can't figure how to access it easily.
Thank you all in advance.

Welcome to the forum! On my unit the water pump is directly behind the convienence center. I go in the basement and take the screws that hold the plastic sheeting that functions as a wall there and the pump is right there. We installed a quiter pump, a different hose that was supposed to suppress the hamering and a pad under the pump. It made some difference, but not enough to be considered worth it. The pump, however, gives us better water pressure so it was worth the change out.

Thumbs up

Thank you, I'll look again but I think the convenience center is sealed around by silicon and don't see a way in there. There is however a carpeted panel in the front basement that may be removable, I'll give that a better look. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

With the pump running and your head in the basement, you should be able to narrow down the location.

Welcome to the forum. We have (had?) another member and frequent poster full timing in Alaska, but I have not seen any of her posting in quite awhile.

Thanks for all the input, I got to it. Just had to remove 10 screws and slide the panel in the storage compartment out of the way. Not very painful at all. Relieved some of the torque on the 4 screws holding it down, slid a folded washcloth under the front end that was vibrating on the hard deck, also wrapped a hard line that was touching the hard panel. Cut the noise by 50%. May be getting some type of vibration dampening material and foam pipe insulation to make it more permanent, but this is working for now. Thanks again everyone for the help.

Welcome and enjoy this great forum. I added a 1 gallon accumulator tank to the output of the pump. That allows you to run some water without the pump coming on.
