Need HT543 Holding Tanks

Hi gang, I cannot seem to find an in-stock source for my Montana holding tanks (black and bathroom gray). They are HT543 which, I think, is/was manufactured by Icon or Ameri-Kart. The latter will not talk to individuals, and I don't need to order 500 of them.

I did find them in stock at an online store called Jazz Sales for $554, but then they wanted to charge me $426 for shipping each. Seriously?

The HT543 is 70" x 28.5" and 48 gallons.

Does anyone have a clue as to where I could find these?

You might contact the RV Proctologist. They do tank cleaning and repair, and I'm pretty sure they also do tank replacements. They work out of the Quartzsite area. (209) 484-9826

Hey, "tanks"for the heads-up. They're about 250 miles from me, so that would be a bit of a road trip, but worth it if I can get the product.

You mentioned Icon. There is an icondirect.com that ships free for orders above $700 which could work since it sounds like you need two tanks.

https://www.icondirect.com/holding-t...drain-ht543ed/

If the shop in Quartzsite doesn't have the exact one, they might be able to retrofit a similar one. Here's a 48 gal unit with similar dimensions as your HT543. They also have a 40 gal unit that's narrower. (I have no idea about the seller or brand.) Note the lip is thicker and an entry hole plus a connection will be needed.

Good luck and happy travels!

Found this

https://jazzsales.com/product/holdin...ter-end-drain/

NOTE: reading the description, the lid is glued on.
These have been known to fail (Lid separating from tank).

You are better off finding a "rotoplast" (one piece molded) tank.

Any chance you could fit a bigger tank in that space. If I was doing it I would try to find a bigger tank if possible.

I have the same tank. Dropped it and for some reason the top is glued ro the tank. I used some netting and abs.. so far so good.. I'd like to find a one piece tank..good luck.

I had to replace my galley tank in our '06 2955rl. I ordered the Icon supposed direct replacement from Amazon, ICON Side Drain HT292SD with 3" Spigot & 4 Level Sensors. What showed up was much smaller, maybe 25 gallon. Ended up reordering a one piece tank, RecPro 44.5 Gallon Black Waste Water RV Holding Tank Right Side Drain 63" x 25" x 9 1/8" | Made in America from Amazon. It's a bit different with the thick rim around the top so I had to rework the way it mounts. But it's a one piece tank that's about twice the weight of the original. Just make sure you get the outlet in the correct orientation. I also added some 2" nylon webbing straps for extra support.

Here's an idea

A friend of mine uses an LLC when he buys parts for anything. He says it’s not expensive to create an LLC. If you have an LLC then you may be able to purchase one or two tanks at the lower price using your LLC business ID. It might be worth a shot and at least worth looking into if timing permits. Be aware that the cost of an LLC varies widely depending on the state.

You could try Colall RV in Missouri, or Treakwood. Both have a lot of salvage RV parts. Treakwood you can look up your specific year, and search. Might also try Young Farts RV parts, they are in Canada, but they do ship to lower 48.
